Minneapolis Trip and Comedy Show

In February, Damien and I both had a long holiday weekend for Presidents' Day that lined up with when my friend, Patrick, was driving to Minneapolis for a job interview. None of us had been to Minneapolis before and I really wanted to see the Mall of America. It was a great trip!

Damien and I stayed at a hotel that was connected to the mall. It was super nice and convenient

The hotel lobby. Damien kept saying we were staying in a place of luxury lol

So many levels in the mall

Damien relaxing after lots of walking

For breakfast on Friday morning, Damien and I ordered room service. An omelet with toast and fresh fruit.

After breakfast, Damien and I went to the Sea Life Aquarium in the mall.

In line to see the various sea creatures.

I love the tunnels where you can see the fish swim overhead.

The coolest part was the jellyfish!

Damien and I with the jellyfish. Is that really my 12-year old son? lol

By the time we got through the aquarium, Damien wasn't feeling well so he stayed back in the hotel room to rest and I met up with Patrick after his job interview.

This mall is unbelievable with all of the things to do.

I liked the Lego displays.

Later on Friday, Damien was feeling better so Damien and Patrick went on the log ride. I waited for 20 minutes to get a video of them, but by the time I realized it was them it was too late. Oh well.

Next, we took Damien mini-golfing for the first time. Once he understood how to put, he was really good.

I got a hole-in-one on the last hole of mini-golf!!!

Patrick bought Damien a 3 pound gummy worm lol

A chocolate caramel apple--yum!

For breakfast on Saturday morning, Damien and I shared the loaded pancakes. We needed our strength for the 5 hour drive home lol

Damien with his 3 lb worm lol. He shared with his friends and I think he still has a little bit left. I didn't try any because Damien and his friend had their hands all over it.

Patrick didn't end up getting the job in Minneapolis. Not sure what he's going to do for work. About a week after the Minneapolis trip, we went to see Bert Kreischer's comedy show because it was here in Grand Forks. It was a great show! Very entertaining. February was definitely a busy month for me.
