Memorial Day and Pink Eye

Today Grandma and I went to the ER with Damien that turned out to be pink eye. So now we know what it is and how to treat it...and to keep our fingers out of our eyes lol. The hospital said he should be good to go to daycare tomorrow too. His eyes are already looking better. I was supposed to have Damien's hair cut today, but that'll have to happen another time.

Day Trip

Scott and I traveled to Munich, Germany yesterday and everything went really well. There was a bus tour and a short walking tour of the city where we got to see so many interesting things. We ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and then headed over to the Dachau Concentration Camp. Just an unbelievable site that's hard to describe. I have tons of pictures to sort so I won't have any posted for a while. Just wanted to say that it was a great trip with beautiful weather, tasty food and drink, and a new experience.

Wine with Lunch

Here's a great picture of Grandma today at lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant. I don't know yet how she's going to feel about me posting this without her permission so it may not be here long lol.

New Car!

I got my new 2012 VW Jetta yesterday and it is even better than I expected. The pics aren't the greatest, but it's the best I could do for right now. Grandma, Scott, and I also went to Heidelberg today, but I won't have the photos ready to post until later. It was a great birthday :)

Zoo Day

My Grandma, Scott, Damien, and I all visited the Kaiserslautern zoo today. Damien was pretty nervous at first, but eventually warmed up to looking at the animals.

Storytime

I may have mentioned before, but Damien is really interested in books now. I couldn't resist posting this video of Damien and Scott tonight. I know it's very long, but about a min and 44 seconds into the video, Damien does say "meow".

Secondly, Damien goes into what Scott and I call his "defensive" position. He does this sometimes when he's resisting. In this instance, he doesn't want to get his teeth brushed tonight...or any night for that matter...

Happy Mother's Day

There has been so much going on in our lives lately! Between moving, vehicles, trip planning, and the normal day-to-day, I don't even know where to begin. So in short, I'd like to present this video of Damien from today in my new apartment. Damien loves his toy cars and you'll notice he makes "beep" noises. He also makes other car sounds, just not in this video. Everytime he drops his car, I cringe at the thought of my neighbors below. And you'll also witness how fast he opens doors and how he loves the thrill of escape. He often "hides" from me lol.

The speech is still slow to progress. He says "hi" and "meow". It feels like he's having conversations more. I think a couple times he scolded me for something he didn't like.
